Butterfly Garden Dream

One of my wildest dream is to have a butterfly garden of my own. So I decided to plant one butterfly-flower-food one at a time. I only knew one plant specie that is called to be the butterfly food. So I got that one. I don’t really know what its name. Lately I have heard that butterflies are attracted to a massive colors of the plants that aren't necessarily flowers like the coleus or are locally known as ‘mayana’. These great colorful foliage sure makes the butterfly attracted and most of all, nectar-producing flowers is a must where butterflies feed on. All the other B-creature are shown here in the recent collage including new butterfly collection that somehow made me wonder where do they come from. They just surprised me every day. It’s another way of saying that, “In Christ, we are a new creation, the old is gone the new has come.” One day they’re caterpillars, the next day they’re butterflies. For us, we are crawling in this world, and someday, with child-like faith we will have new bodies and live in eternity with our Creator.

Cactus and Succulents

Cactus and succulents are ideal terrarium plants since they survive the longest without water for days...watering them only twice a week though. Usually you don't water as much when they're inside a terrarium especially when it's sealed tight. Its moisture will naturally fill them up, like in a greenhouse effect. But I usually uncover my terrarium for minutes or so and mistily hand-spray them twice a week. After it settles in, I place the cover back on and revisit them time to time.

"I am making a terrarium." I was explaining to my 4 year old nephew, Aaron, when he asked what I was doing one morning. And continued saying that if fish lives in this glass box, it is called 'aquarium' but if it's plants growing, it is 'terrarium'...He smiled hearing the rhyming words.
